EMS Week Proclamation Signed by Board on May 19

On May 19, the Board officially signed a proclamation recognizing May 17–23, 2026, as EMS Week — honoring the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of emergency medical services personnel who serve our community every day.

EMS professionals play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of residents and visitors alike. From paramedics and EMTs to firefighters, dispatchers, nurses, physicians, educators, administrators, and support staff, these individuals provide lifesaving care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This year’s national EMS Week theme, “We Care. For Everyone.”, recognizes the compassion and commitment EMS professionals bring to every call, every patient, and every community.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all EMS personnel for their unwavering service, courage, and dedication to public safety. Please join us in recognizing and celebrating the outstanding contributions of emergency medical services professionals throughout EMS Week.
