SACFD Bucket Brigade Campaign:

May contain: cup and bucket

SACFD Bucket Brigade Campaign is underway to promote firework safety in our community! The initiative is designed to encourage the safe disposal of fireworks and help prevent fires and injuries following holiday celebrations. Thanks to a generous bucket donation from our local Commerce City Ace Hardware.  The Bucket Brigade containers will be distributed to each of the Commerce City fireworks locations, all our stations and fire apparatus, chief vehicles and we will be handing out at local community events. The buckets are available free of charge and are intended for individuals purchasing fireworks to take home and use for proper firework disposal.

How the Bucket Brigade Works:

1. Fill the bucket with water.

2. Place all used fireworks into the water immediately after use.

3. Allow fireworks to soak thoroughly.

4. Dispose of the fully soaked (wet) fireworks in the trash.
