The South Adams County Fire Department Ride Along Program permits non-SACFD individuals, in certain circumstances, to participate in the daily duties assigned to line members, including responding to emergencies involving Fire, EMS, and other calls for service.

Ride Along Details:

• A ride-along may only take place between 0700 and 1800. Any deviation from these hours must be approved in advance
•  Ride-along will be based on availability
• The following age restrictions shall be strictly observed:
  • Participants under age 16 are not permitted to participate in the program
  • Participants aged 17 may participate in a Ride Along with a parent or guardian's approval and only with the on-duty Battalion Chief’s prior approval.
  • Participants age 18 and older may participate in a ride-along without a parent or guardian. The participants must provide proof of age before the Ride Along
  • All participants must provide proof of age before the Ride Along 
• Before participating in a ride-along,  appropriate documents must be completed.  We will arrange to send the documents once confirmed
